COACH JOI WILLIAMS (7-18-11)
The first night in a foreign place is always a little strange for me because I usually wake up in the middle of the night kind of disoriented (as I did this morning around 4:30 AM)! We had breakfast at 9:30 AM and then walked across the street from our hotel to get some snacks at "Jumbo" which is Chile's version of Target (photo below). At 3:15 PM, we had a scrimmage vs. Russia. Our offensive execution was pretty good. Defensively, we had a difficult time guarding penetration and fouled way too much. We ended up winning 95-56 but we still have work to do!
